Maggie Lee Vanover, age 85, passed away at her home on January 18th. She was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Vanover Mooney. She was a loving wife, mother and member of the Valley View Baptist Church. Mrs. Vanover was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Mooney and husband, Grayson Vanover, plus several brothers and sisters. She is survived by three sons; Roger Vanover and wife Juanita of Bristol, Virginia, James E. Vanover and David Vanover of Clintwood, Virginia and one grandson, Josh Vanover of Charleston, South Carolina. Other survivors include two sisters and one brother; Ruth Lilly of Clintwood, Virginia, June Lilly of Ohio and Amos Mooney and wife Betty of Kentucky. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Heritage Hall Health Care Center in Clintwood and special caregivers, Brenda Newberry and Brenda Meade.
