Lura Clay Kiser age 97, passed away Monday November 24, 2014 at the Indian Path Medical Center, Kingsport, TN. She was born the daughter of the late Leonard and Linda Clay, a resident of Bise Ridge community for many years and a retired school teacher from Dickenson County School System. She was a member of Peuther Chapel Church where she taught Sunday School. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Lawrence Kiser along with six brothers and five sisters. Survivors include her daughters Thelma Kiser, Kingsport, TN and Harriette Mullins of Hilliard, OH; one brother Edward Clay and wife Virginia, Atlanta, GA; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 Saturday Nov. 29, 2014 at the Peuther Chapel Church with Pastor Joe Glenn Sluss. Burial will follow at the Clay Cemetery, Caney Ridge Road. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 6-8 PM.
