Louis Glen Smith, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tennessee. Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, a Veteran of the United States Navy,and a retiree from the United States Postal Service, having worked at the Clintwood Post Office. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bessie Smith; two brothers, Jimmy and Richard Smith ; one sister, Elizabeth Troncone. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth E. Smith and fiancé Greg Hammons, of Vinton Ohio, Helen Smith and husband Jim Trombley of Kenai Alaska; three brothers, Paul Smith of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, John Smith of Nora, and Joe Smith and wife Jane of Gate City, Virginia; three sisters, Ruth Sutherland, Evelyn McKinney and husband Daniel all of Nora and Sada Ashbey Sutherland of Illinois; one granddaughter, Amy Bugargki of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. A family memorial service will be held Saturday, June 14th, at 4:00 pm at the residence.
