Ms. Lottie Yates, age 90, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Heritage Health Care Center in Clintwood, Virginia. Ms. Yates was a lifelong resident of Haysi, a loving caregiver to many over the years and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. She made her last home with her nephew Earl Dean Yates and wife Darlene of Clintwood. Ms. Yates was preceded in death by her parents, George B. and Princie Deel Yates, ten brothers, five sisters and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include her sister Pearlie Yates of Haysi; two nephews, Darrell Yates and wife Debbie and Earl Dean Yates and wife Darlene; two great nieces, Tonya Barton and husband Tony, Tabitha Keen and husband Brian and children of great nieces, Cannon, Maddox, Kiersten and Easton and several other nieces, nephews plus a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 14th, 2014, 1:00 pm at Russell Prater Church with Elders Andy Deel, Toy Looney, Earl Dean Yates, Mark Justice, and Terry Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Yates Family Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Greenbrier, Virginia. Family will receive friends at the church after 6:00 pm, Monday, January 13th ,with a service beginning at 7:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Tony Barton, Brian Keen, Billy Yates, Jeffery L.
