Lona Marie (Presley) King 46, passed away at University Hospital in Charlottesville, VA on Sunday, April 16th, 2017 after a short battle with leukemia. Lona battled Vasculitis for the past 10 years. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter & sister and believed the Lord Jesus to be her Savior. She was born the daughter of Billy and Rita Presley.  She was a graduate of Lebanon High School, Lebanon, VA and received her nursing degree from Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap, VA.

She was preceded in death by her father Billy Presley, brother, Billy (Randy) Presley, grandparents, Deward and Virginia Presley & Charlie and Lona Wampler, one step son PJ King.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Paul King of Clintwood, VA; 2 sons Erik Heckford and wife Emily of Kingsport, TN and Steven King of Clintwood, VA; one step son Christopher King of Clintwood, VA.; mother Rita Wampler Presley of Clintwood, VA; two sisters Kathy Jaskiewicz and husband Tommy of Beaufort, SC and Melissa Hagy of Pennington Gap VA; two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Pam Moore for all her kindness, care and support she provided Lona during her illness.

Funeral services and burial for Lona Marie King will be conducted Wednesday April 19th at 2 pm in the Chapel of Love, at Temple Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Kyle Rose officiating.

Two nephews will serve as pallbearers, Brandon Burke of Beaufort, SC and Ryan Hagy of Pennington Gap, VA. Additional pallbearers will be Tristen Hall, John Hamilton, Trent Cumbo and Jason Moore.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donation be made to Clintwood Funeral Home or John Hopkins Vasculitis Center.
