Lisa Renae Vanover, 47, went to be with the lord Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was a graduate of Clintwood High School class of 1986, an employee of the Virginia Department of Social Services for over 20 years with the city of Norton, a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church since 1994, and had a love for cooking, baking, and spending time with classmates. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cleophus and Tina Vanover; and John and Alpha Pillips; father, Clifford Vanover; and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include her mother, Beuna Phillips Vanover of Clintwood, VA; brother, John Bill Vanover and wife Coletta Jo of Clintwood, VA; godson, Peyton Kendrick of Wise, VA; Aunt, Janice Martin and husband Bobby of Clintwood, VA; uncle, Darrell Phillips of Clintwood, VA; Several cousins and a host of other relatives. The family sends special thanks to Home Nursing and Hospice staff, Rebecca Robinson, Reba Bowman, Janice Martin, Tennessee Kendrick, all other care givers, and special brother and caregiver Clynis Phillips. Funeral services for Lisa Renae Vanover will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Valley View Freewill Baptist Church with Lynn Vanover officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Tuesday until time of service. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Phipps Memorial Cemetery Main Street Clintwood. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Clintwood High School class of 1986. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at Valley View Freewill Baptist Church at 10:30 AM Wednesday.
