Linda Lois Stair age 79, passed at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Mrs. Stair was born in Pound, Virginia and was a member of Davis Chapel Church. She was an employee of Buster Brown, Inc, in Coeburn, Virginia.  Mrs. Stair was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved flowers, sewing, gardening and canning food.

Mrs. Stair was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Mullins; son, Brandon Elder; grandparents, Patton and Alice Mullins; four brothers, Jimmy Collins, Johnny Collins, Donald Collins and Terry Bizzell.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar Stair of Pound; sons, Patrick Stair and Beverly of Thomasville, NC and Josiah Elder of Pound; daughters, Robin Stair Evans of Pound, Fran Salyers and Patrick of Big Stone Gap, Cathy Lopez and Michael Seay of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Gary Collins and Sue of Thomasville, NC and Butch Bizzell of Sophia, NC; sisters, Judy Purvis and Ricky of Lexington, NC, Sally Hancock of Trinity, NC, Penny Greenman and Jeff of Thomasville, NC and Stephanie Arnett of High Point, NC; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17th, 1 pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Rose and Randy Carter officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery, Ibex Mountain Road, Coeburn, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
