Linda Baker, age 83 passed away Wednesday December 3, 2025, at the Heritage Hall Wise. She was born in Honolulu Hawaii, the daughter of the late Charles and Evangelena Fernandez. There she met her husband Bob Baker while he was serving in the United States Marine Corps. After marriage they moved to California where she owned and operated Southwest Billing and Collections Company. After the death of her husband she returned to Pound, VA. To be with the Baker family. She retired from the Verizon Company after many years of service as an operator. She was of the Catholic Faith.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Husband Bob Baker, one brother Robert G. Fernandez and one sister Charlene Fernandez.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Fernandez and Kayla Forney, Pound, VA. Cody Fernandez, Wise, VA. One grandson Brayden Fernandez and a granddaughter on the way.  Along with several nieces, nephews, host of other relatives and friends.

There will be Catholic Funeral Mass at 2 PM Sunday December 7, 2025, at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends with visitation following the service. An entombment service will be held Monday December 8, 2025, at 1 PM with Randy Carter at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, VA.
