Lillian Ruby Fleming, 82, died at Heritage Hall Health Care Center, Clintwood, on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, and a member of the Clintwood Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her parents, Ballard and Lissie Hughes, husband Carl Fleming, one brother, her daughter Rebecca Sue Mullins, and three grandchildren. She is survived by her son Doug Fleming and wife Dollie, Clintwood; her daughter Rita and husband Freddie Robinson, Clintwood; two brothers, Elmer Hughes, Salem, VA and Charles Hughes, Jr. Pound; one sister Alma Davis, Wytheville; a special family member, Regina Mullins, Rogersville, TN; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Brad Fleming officiating. Additional graveside services will follow Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery. Those wishing to follow in procession to the cemetery should meet at the Clintwood Funeral Home by 10:45 AM Saturday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
