Lester Dean Stanley, 60, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. He was a 1972 graduate of Haysi High School. He was a hard worker, and was a retired mechanic and welder. He was a loving father and an avid horseman. He is preceded in death by his step father, Ebb Sauls; step son, Larry Hay; grandparents, Logan and Oakley Stanley; and Garland and Bertha Stanley. He is survived by his father, Carson Stanley and step mother Reba of Morristown TN; mother, Betty Sauls, of Clintwood, VA; son, Bradley Stanley and wife Christy of Clintwood, VA; daughters Amanda Davis and Husband Walter of Clintwood, VA; Paige Stanley and James Goodpaster of Clintwood, VA; brothers, Edgar Stanley of Morristown, TN; Dale Stanley, Garvis Stanley, and Warren Stanley all of Clintwood, VA; sister Patricia Layne of Clintwood, VA; Companion Colleen Stanley of Clintwood, VA; and grandchildren Angel, Colt, Cole, Harley, Braden, Weston, Ashton, Dalton, and Alivia on the way. Funeral Services for Lester Dean Stanley will be conducted at 7:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2015 in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Hall Officiating. Visitation will be held beginning at 6:00 PM Sunday until time of service. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 14, 2015 in the Dewey Fleming Cemetery Osborne Gap. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Lane, Anthony (Moo Moo) Short, Dennis O'Quinn, Randall O'Quinn, and Kendall Mullins.
