Born in Russell County, VA she had lived in Dickenson County her entire adult life, and was the last of fifteen children. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church for 54 years. Her parents Samuel Patton and Nannie Meade Dingus, an infant son Larry Scott Moore, a son Randall Burley Moore, grandsons Kerry Moore and Josh Moore many brothers and sisters and a son-in-law Raymond Webb preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Burley E. Moore, Clintwood; three sons, Jessee Moore, Lakeland, FL, Mitchell Moore, Raleigh, NC, and Connie Moore, Clintwood; two daughters, Evia Jean Webb, and Shirlene Mullins, Clintwood; ten grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
