Leoda S. Artrip age 82 passed away Monday March 24, 2014 at the Mountain View Regional Medical Center, Norton, VA. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County the daughter of the late Ashley and Ellen Stanley. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Artrip was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard Artrip, two sons Darrell Gray Artrip and Donald Mack Artrip, one daughter Judy Ann Meade, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Barry N. Artrip and wife Deb of Keokee, Virginia and Billy L. Artrip of Clintwood; three daughters, Norma Jean Kendrick and husband Gary, Sandy Moore and husband Leo all of Clintwood, Linda Cox and husband Jessie of Pound, VA; two sisters, Eleanor Dotson , Pound, Va and Gaynell Perrigan, Clintwood, VA.; one brother, Jefferson Stanley of Clintwood, VA.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday March 27, 2014 from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Lester Mullins officiating. Receiving of friends will begin at 6:00 PM Thursday. Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday March 28, 2014 at Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those attending graveside services are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM.
