Ruth Vanover Lilly died Sept. 15th at the Heritage Hall Health Care Center in Clintwood. She was a native of Clintwood the daughter of Ralph and Daisy Fleming Vanover. In 1946 she married Jack Lilly of Cleveland, Virginia and lived most of her life in Russell County. She was a member of the Cleveland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her foster son, David Thomas and wife Jinni of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a sister Juanita Stanley, a sister-in-law Edith Vanover both of Clintwood, nieces Daisy Rose and Susie Fleming, Clintwood, Judy Adkins, Fredericksburg, VA. and Donna Deboard, Waldorf, MD. Nephews Jim Stanley and Judge Henry Vanover, of Clintwood. Carl Hylton of Kingsport, TN. A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday Sept. 24th at the Russell Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon, VA.
