Kenneth D. Rose, Sr., age 65, passed away at his home in the Honey Camp community after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Charles and Eva Lambert Rose. He had lived most of his adult life in Dickenson County, and a retired coal miner, and member of the UMWA. Kenneth was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving is his wife, Audrey M. Rose, Clintwood; his son, Kenneth D. Rose, Jr. and his wife Amy, Kennesaw, GA; daughters, Debbie Carpenter and husband Doug; Kennesaw, GA, and Tammy Mullins and husband David, Clintwood; brother Bobby Rose, Oolthwa, TN; sisters, Carrol Edwards, Vista, CA, and Rita Moore, Clintwood; grandchildren, Dana Hughes and husband Cal, Todd Mullins and wife Kelly, Kayla Carpenter, Cianna Mullins, Jessica Rose, Brittany Rose, and Emma Rose. Funeral services for Kenneth D. Rose, Sr. will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Honey Camp. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home with a song service to follow at 7:00 PM. Active pallbearers are Kenneth D. Rose, Jr., David Mullins, Todd Mullins, Cal Hughes, Dennis Mullins and Bobby Rose. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Tholpady, Doug Carpenter, Coy Colley, Dee Moore, Larry Mullins, Bob Mullins, Danny Robinson, Scott Mullins and Steven Mullins.
