Kathy Bonita (Vanover) Tiller, 72, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 12, 2024, at the Lonesome Pine Hospital, Big Stone Gap, VA, after an extended battle with cancer.

Kathy was born in Clintwood, VA, on May 19, 1951, was a 1969 graduate of Clintwood High School and attended Mountain Empire Community College. She was married, but divorced, and had three children. Kathy was a stay at home mom and lived most of her adult life in Big Stone Gap, VA.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Alma (Senter) Vanover; her daughter, Jessica Rae Tiller; her sister, Jeanette Lewis; and her brothers, Freel and Norman Vanover. She is survived by her sons, Randall (Stacy), Abingdon, VA, and Cody, Oakwood, VA; her sisters Toni Spahn and Ida Tuller, both of Clintwood, VA; and her brother, Jennings Vanover (Jo), of Camp Hill, PA.

Clintwood Funeral Home, Clintwood, VA, is in charge of funeral arrangements. A memorial service for family and friends will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request you make a donation to the American Cancer Society or plant a tree in Kathy's honor.
