Mrs. Katherine Sue Rose, age 86, gained her wings and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 6th, 2023, from her home surrounded by the ones she loved.

Mrs. Rose was born May 27th, 1937, in Dickenson County, Virginia to the late Fred and Gay Church.

She married the love of her life Rev. Harlan Lee Rose and from that faithful union came six children, five sons and one daughter. She was a loving, kind-hearted and dedicated Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend to everyone who had the pleasure and honor of knowing her. She had a smile that would light up any room and warm your soul. She dedicated her life to God and to her family whom she loved more than anything in this world.

Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her loving parents Fred and Gay Church, one sister Eunice Mullins, one brother Freddie W.Church and his wife Melda Faye Church, one grandson Jonathan Lee Rose and one great-granddaughter Faith Marie Rose and her in-laws Barnie and Mae Rose.

Survivors include her loving husband Rev. Harlan Lee Rose, five sons Ronald (Vicki) Rose, Donald (Pattie) Rose, Wilson (Annette) Rose, Craig (Kim) Rose and Michael Rose; one daughter Cathy Rose: 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.

Visitation will begin at 5 pm Friday, November 10th, at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Song service will follow at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, November 11th, at Clintwood Funeral Home chapel with Mark Rudd and Matt Deel officiating. Burial will follow at Rasnick Family Cemetery, Nealy Ridge, Clinchco. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
