Julia Kate Stanley, age 98 passed away on Thursday evening November 15, 2007 in the home of Patty and Chester Davis in Nankin, OH. She was a resident of Dickenson County all but the last five years of her life. She was born on July 16, 1909 to William Harrison and Lenore Hager Short. She was married to Curtis Stanley on July 29, 1929. They had a son Donald Gayle Stanley and daughter Reba June Umberger. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and children. Survivors include six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Clintwood Baptist Church, and the Midway Baptist Church of Elyria, OH. She was a member of the Chase Rebekah Lodge. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by family and friends.
