Obituary

Judy Allean Crider age 70, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital, Kingsport, Tennessee. She was a life long resident of Dickenson County, living in the Clintwood area. She was member of Valley View Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Lonzie McCoy, her husband Condy Crider and one sister Jean Pitzer. Survivors include her mother, Flora McCoy Stansberry , Norton, Virginia, one daughter Frances Phipps and her family Dewey Stanley and one grandson, Andrew Phipps all of Clintwood, Virginia. Three brothers; Jimmy and wife Joan McCoy, Mechanicsville, Virginia, Charles and wife Edith McCoy, Charles City, Virginia and Donald McCoy, Lakeland, Florida, one sister Adele and husband Bill Baker, Coeburn, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews along with her church family. Funeral services for Judy A. Crider will be conducted at 7 PM Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lynn Vanover officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday at Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Main Street Clintwood. Pallbearers will be friends and family. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Thurs. evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations to be sent Southwest Virginia Cancer Center, Norton, Virginia.
