Ruth Juanita Ball Dameron age 89, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 in Front Royal, Virginia. Mrs. Dameron was born in Dickenson County and was a founding member of the Buffalo Church, where she loved to sing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and loved cooking and family gatherings.

Mrs. Dameron was preceded in death by her parents John Oaks and Millie Ball; first husband, Alva Dameron; second husband, Franklin Dameron; her son, Carlos Dameron and daughter Christine Marean; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include 2 sons, Larry Dameron and wife Betty of Nora, Virginia and David Dameron and wife Lisa of Front Royal, Virginia; 3 daughters, Carolyn Lowery of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Penny Briggs of Nora, and Joann Rouker and husband Don of Columbus, Ohio; step-daughter, Thelma Brooks of Cleveland, Virginia; twenty-six grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 11th, 5 PM at the Buffalo Church.  A service will begin at 7 PM with Darrell Milgrim and James Moore officiating. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12th, 11 AM at the church.  Burial will follow in the Dameron Family Cemetery, Ball Ridge.  Pallbearers are Kevin Simms, Casey Stailey, David Dameron, Jr., Johnathan Lowery, Brad Dameron and Gary Marean.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the family.
