Jessie Carol Yates, 82, born on November 24, 1931 passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her parents Debra Hahn and Alfonso Willis; brother, Frank Willis; Uncle John Trivitt; great grandson, Tyler Yates. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Kermit Yates; two sons, Ronnie Yates and wife Debbie and Gary Yates and wife Sharon all of Clintwood; two daughters, Rita Cox and husband Jarvis and Debra Baker and husband Jimmy all of Clintwood; two sisters, Daisy McAnnally and Virginia Christensen both of Illinois; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Lynn Vanover and Andy Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Yates Family Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers are Ronnie Dean Yates, Kermit Cox, Josh Cox, Matt Baker, Tanner Yates and James Beverly. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Anderson, Andy Mullins, Josh Robinson, Dustin Farmer, Johnny Vance, III, Greg Owens and Keith Brooks. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening at 5:00 pm. A song service will begin at 7:00 pm with Franklin Hall officiating.
