Jessie Lillian Mullins, 92, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Jessie was born at Dwale, VA the daughter of Allen and Melvina (Belcher) Mullins. She was employeed during WWII at Glenn L. Martin Airplane Manfacturing Company and Radford Arrsenal. She was a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church and loved all of her Brothers and Sisters in Christ and her Pastor, Lynn Vanover. She was also a member of Clintwood Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Melvina Belcher Mullins; her son Ronald Eugene Mullins; brothers and sisters Grace (Henry) Kaylor, Lonzie (Mildred) Mullins, Mag (Ezra) Bishop, Lawrence (Marie) Mullins, Maxie (Blue) Linkous, Lessie (Carl) Stanley, and Ralph Mullins. Surviving is her daughter Judy Davenport, Bristol; granddaughters Jennifer (Stanley) Hillard of Bristol, VA; and Julie (Clonce) Davenport, Johnson City; two great granddaughters, Jessica and Shanna Hillard; two grandsons, Johnny and Liam Clonce; one great-great granddaughter, Cady Grace Hylton and daughter-in-law, Dorothea Mullins of SC; Jessie will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and special friends Patsi McCormick and Ruby Fleming. Jessie was a strong and courageous woman who was deeply respected and admired by her family and friends. Funeral services for Jessie L. Mullins will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 12, 2007 from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with minister Lynn Vanover officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Morgan Mullins family cemetery, Longs Fork. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at the Clintwood Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
