Jennifer Lee Ratliffe, age 52, passed away January 10th at her residence. Miss Ratliffe is the daughter of Dr. Norman C. and Polly Ratliffe. She was a 1975 graduate of Clintwood High School, 1979 graduate of University of Virginia-Wise and a 1983 graduate of East Tennessee State University. Miss Ratliffe was a registered nurse employed by Ask a Nurse and was of the Baptist faith. She was a caring nurse who enjoyed working with her patients. Survivors include her parents Dr. Norman C. and Polly Ratliffe, one brother, Norman W. Ratliffe of Clintwood; one sister, Rebecca Scarinaro and husband Dr. "Jack" Scarinaro of Knoxville. Other survivors include four aunts; Francis Blair, Jackie Gilliam, Mildred Olinger and Evelyn Pratt; one great aunt Margaret Porter; one niece Rachel Scarinaro and two nephews; Jay and Michael Scarinaro, along with several cousins. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 14th, 7:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Glenn Sluss officiating. Graveside services will be January 15th, 1:00 PM at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends Thursday at 6:00 PM.
