Jefferson Burns Stanley age 73 passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in the Norton Community Hospital, Norton, Virginia. He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and retired from the Town of Clintwood.

Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Ashley and Ellen Stanley; brothers, Vince and Dence Stanley; sisters, Leoda Artrip and Carol Sue Stanley; several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his sisters, Gaynell Parrigan of Clintwood, Eleanor Dotson and husband Frank of Pound, Virginia; special niece and caregiver Joyce Dotson of Clintwood; several other nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 24th at 1:00 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Lester Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinson Cemetery, Lick Fork Road. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 23 rd from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A service will be held at 7:00 PM.
