Janice Stanley age 85, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Janice was born in Dickenson County and was a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Minnie Mullins, husband, Fred E. Stanley,  son, Jackie Stanley and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Bill Stanley and wife Margo of Clintwood. Mr. Stanley is a teacher at Martha Jane Potter School in Kona, Kentucky. Other survivors grandsons, David Stanley and wife Shana of Norton, Virginia, Jordan Stanley and wife Brittany and Sean Stanley all of Clintwood; granddaughter, Pamela Surratt and husband Thomas of Clintwood; great grandchildren, Dylan Mullins, Ava and Easton Stanley, Lucas and Logan Stanley; several nieces and nephews; special neighbors, Tim and Edith Redden family and Barbara and Jack O'Quinn.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23rd , 7:00 PM in the Valley View Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Lynn Vanover officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM. Family and friends are requested to meet at the church at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 24 th , to proceed to Roy Stanley Family Cemetery for graveside services. Pallbearers will be Jordan Stanley, David Stanley, Sean Stanley, Scott Stanley, Joe Glen Sluss and Kelly Fleming.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley View Freewill Baptist Church.
