James S. Lambert, age 76, passed away October 17th, at his residence. Born in Russell County he was a retired coal miner and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lambert and two brothers, Mack and Wilmer Lambert. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Lambert and three sons, Wayne Lambert of Bristol, Virginia, Tim Lambert of Bluff City, Tennessee and Jay Lambert of Clintwood, Virginia. Other survivors include two daughters, Jewel Lambert of Abingdon, Virginia and Angela Ratliff, of Clintwood, Virginia; two brothers, Buster Lambert of Ohio and Ralph Lambert of Kingsport, Tennessee and one sister, Ruby Meade of Castlewood, Virginia. Mr. Lambert is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lambert will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 20th at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bill Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at the Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday, October 19th after 6:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with a song service to begin at 7:00 PM.
