James Virgil Cox, age 66, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Cox was a life long residence of Dickenson County, a member of the Philadelphia Chapel Church, and a retired coal miner. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Nell Baker Cox and sister, Barbara Adkins. Survivors include his wife, Loretta Cox, son, Jamie Cox and wife, Susan all of Clintwood; two daughters, Sharon Little and husband William of Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota and Nancy Cox of Clintwood; three brothers, Jack Cox, David Cox, and Charles Cox all of Clintwood; three sisters, Bessie Vance of Wise, Virginia, Mary Schaffer of Ohio and Linda Martinez of Texas; six grandchildren, Billy Cox, Brandon Cox, Stephanie Little, Evelyn Little, Amber Reynolds and April Reynolds. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 27 at 12 Noon in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Manie Strouth and Gabe Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mullins Cemetery on Cutters Creek. Pallbearers will be Jamie Cox, Billy Cox, Brandon Cox, Bobby Beverly, Jessica Gentry, and William Little. Family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home beginning at 6:00 pm with a service starting at 7:00 pm
