Inis Fern Counts age 88, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her home on Baker Ridge. She was a lifelong resident of Clintwood. She was a member of the Valley View Freewill Baptist Church. She served the Lord with her singing over the years with her family and church family. She attended the Clintwood Senior Citizens and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Wayne Counts; parents, Ervin and Rosie Hill; brothers, Lowell, Sidney and Carroll Hill; sisters, Nina Rose and Nadine Rowe; stepbrothers, Kenny, Garry and Eddie Hill.

Survivors include; one son Dennis Counts and wife Trysn of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren Charlotte Vance and David, Shelly Baker and Pruitt all of Clintwood, April Ring and Wayne of Coeburn, Virginia; great-grandchildren Samantha Hibbitts and Nathaniel of Coeburn, David Vance II of Clintwood, Andrew Vance of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, James France and Geni and Cecil Baker of Clintwood, Chloe Freeman and John Bristol, Tennessee;  great-great grandchildren Ethan Cole Hibbitts, , Carter Benjamin Hibbitts; special great niece, Lindsey Altman and Tanner; along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Services for Inis Counts will be conducted 1 PM Monday July 11, 2022 at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Lynn Vanover officiating. Burial will follow at the Rugsby Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon till service time. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
