Howard Clifford Mullins age 83, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Mr. Mullins was a lifelong resident of Pound, a retired coal miner and was of the Freewill Baptist faith.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gensinging and finding dryland fish.

Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by his parents, Cain and Nellie Mullins; loving wife, Loretta; two sisters, Parzada Boggs and Donna K. Baker; grandson, Paul D. Mullins; son-in-law, Danny Mullins.

Survivors include three daughters, Freida Mullins of Pound, Barbara Boggs and husband Rodney of Pound and Vera Mullins of Wise, Virginia; brothers, Airitt Mullins and wife Linda of Pound and Jimmy Mullins and wife Loretta of Pound; one sister, Helen Lois Mullins of Annandale, Virginia; 7 grandchildren, Daryle Mullins, Joshua Mullins, Heather Martin and husband Nathan, Brandon Boggs, Melissa Watkins, Ray Smith, and Loretta Smith and 8 great-grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Brianna Boggs, Jordan Martin, Dylan Watkins, Madison Watkins, Karlee Watkins, Payton Boggs and Jaelyn Boggs.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 18th at 7:00 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Chapel with Donnie Bowes officiating.  Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM.  A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Paul Darnell Mullins Cemetery, Capicorn Road. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to follow in the processional to the cemetery should meet at Clintwood Funeral Home at 12:30 PM.
