Hobart Parker Rasnick age 80, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Mr. Rasnick was a lifelong resident of Pound and a retired coal miner. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. Mr. Rasnick was of the Christian faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Thursie Rasnick.

Survivors include his wife, Dorcie Rasnick of Pound; son, Scotty Rasnick of Pound; daughter, Rebecca McCoy and husband Wayne of Pound; grandchildren, Kayla McCoy  Edwards, Matthew Rasnick and Catie Mullins; great-grandchildren, Witten Edwards, Ellie Edwards and Owen Mullins.

Family will receive friends Thursday, March 23 ^rd at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel from 5pm until 7 pm. Services will be held at 7 pm with Robert Owens officiating. Burial will be Friday, March 24 ^th, 1 pm at Parker Rasnick Cemetery, Ferbie Road. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, family request contributions be made to St. Judes or cancer research.
