Helen Jane Silcox age 73 passed away Thurs. Oct. 7, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. She was born May 5, 1937 the daughter of Garland and Magdalene Carico. She is preceded in death by her father and husband Gurvis Silcox. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Lick Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors are her mother Magdalene Carico , one son Allen Silcox and wife Christine, one daughter Mary Lockhart and husband Danny all of Clinchco, Virginia. Five brothers, Marvin Carico, Clintwood, VA., Norman Eugene Carico, Haysi, VA., Richard Clyde Carico, Royal Oak, MI., James Kyle Carico, Warren, MI. and Donald Wayne Carico of Clinchco, VA. One sister Wilma Mosteller of Shelby, NC. along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Helen Jane Silcox will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sat. Oct. 9, 2010 at the Clintwood Funeral Chapel with Pastor Doug Moore. Burial will follow at the Counts Chapel Church Cemetery located on Nealey Ridge, Clinchco, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time.
