Helen N. Moore, age 98, passed away at her residence Friday, March 18, 2011. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Cumberland Church of the Brethren and was employed at the Clintwood High School Cafeteria. She was known as a loving Mother and Grandmother. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Moore, parents, Lonnie and Eura Mullins Newberry, step-mother, Verna Artrip Newberry, two brothers, Elmer and Ferris Newberry, grandson, Steven Moore and daughter-in-law, Louise F. Moore. She is survived by three sons: Paul E. Moore, Danny E. Moore and wife Shelby, all of Clintwood, Virginia and David O. Moore and wife Lyn of Church Hill, Tennessee; three granddaughters, Letitia Meade of Gray, Tennessee, Angela Windgate of Blountville, Tennessee, and LeAnn Hines of Tolland, Connecticut; three grandsons, John Paul Moore of Clintwood, Virginia, Kevin Moore of Abingdon, Virginia and Tony Alley of Stafford, Virginia; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Special caregivers of Mrs. Moore were Marcelle Ramey, Emma Smith, and Linda Rose, Hospice employees, Annie Mullins, Pat Slemp, Becky Edwards, Rosie Mullins, Angie Fleming, Crystal Stanley, and Kim Mullins. Funeral services will be conducted, Sunday, March 20th at 1:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Rose, Lester Mullins and Joe Glenn Sluss officiating. Burial will follow at the Newberry Family Cemetery, Blowing Rock, Virginia with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends, Saturday, March 19th at 6:00 PM with a song service beginning at 7:00 PM.
