Harvey Gene Hartsock age 93, passed away Sunday, September 06, 2026, at Ballad Hospice House, Bristol, Tennessee. Mr. Hartsock was born to the late Charles and Maluvie Hartsock. He was a lifelong resident of Clintwood and retired from the coal industry, after working many years as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Hartsock was an avid outdoorsman who loved to deer hunt. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hartsock was preceded in death by his son, Michael Gene Hartsock and his sister, Ell Lee.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mary Louise Hartsock of Clintwood; daughter, Vicki Standifur and  Mike of Clintwood; grandchildren, Mary Campbell and Larry, Stephanie Maggard and Royce, Sarah Powers and Jason, Geni France and James; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Lexi, Kinsey, Cambree, Eden, Jase and J.J.; his sister, Virginia Browning of Wise, Virginia; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation with family will be Wednesday, September 09th, 5pm until 6pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. A service will begin at 6pm with Pastor Jay Perrigan officiating. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Perrigan at 1 pm Thursday, September 10th,  at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Allen Mullins Cemetery, Clintwood. Family will serve as pallbearers.
