Harold Edwards, 73, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016.  He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County.  He was a loving father and grandfather, and loved the outdoors and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Sylvia Edwards; grandparents, Princy and Webster Edwards; Neubern and Emma Robinson one brother, and seven sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Edwards of Clintwood, VA; son, Joe Edwards and wife Jan of Moorehead City, NC; Daughter, Missy Johnston and husband Mark of Scott Depot WV; Step-mother, Alma Edwards of Pilgrims Knob  VA; brothers, Olney Edwards and wife Helen of Edison, OH; Jim Edwards and wife Diana of Pilgrims Knob, VA; Joe Edwards and wife Donna of Rosedale, VA; sisters, Betty Deel of Pikeville, KY; Cathy Miller and husband Jerry of Roseville MI; Sally McCowan and husband Wayne of Haysi, VA; Stella Colley of Bristol, VA; and Sandra Holmes of Pilgrims Knob, VA; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Brandon Johnston, Travis Edwards, and Dee Smith; great-grandson Murphy Edwards; and faithful companion Snoopy.

Funeral Services for Harold Edwards will be conducted at 7:00 PM Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Lynn Vanover officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Saturday until time of service.  Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2016 in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery Main Street, Clintwood.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
