Gregory Joe (Greg) Vanover, age 63, passed away Thursday, April 14th, 2011. Greg was a member of the Lick Fork Freewill Baptist Church and a life long member of the Darwin Community. He was a 1971 graduate of Clinch Valley College at Wise, Virginia. Mr. Vanover was preceded in death by his father, Otis B. Vanover, in 1998. Survivors include his mother, Helen Vanover, sister, Sheila Hunt and husband Doyle, and brother, Gary Vanover. Other survivors are a nephew, Dustin Hunt, several aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of other friends and relatives and a special friend, Andy Rose. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 17th, 11:00 AM at the Lick Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Allen Viers and Lynn Vanover officiating. Burial will follow at the Lick Fork Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends Saturday, April 16th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.
