Gloria Maria Powers age 71, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Heritage Hall in Clintwood. Mrs. Powers was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and had lived in Dickenson County for forty-three years. She was of the Christian faith and loved her family and pets.

Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria M. Counts and Christopher C. Counts; sister, Christine O'Conner; niece, Dawn O'Connor; nephew, Shawn O'Conner; brother-in-law, Michael Stevenson; great-grandson, Elijah Rose; mother and father-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Wayne Powers of Aily Road; daughters, Donna Cuykendall of Hillman, MI, Jeannie Banks of Charlottesville, VA and Nancy Harvey (Daniel) of Clinchco; sister, Joan Stevenson of MI; brother-in-law, J. Michael O'Connor of Honaker; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren whom she loved very much.

Memorial service will be held  5 PM Sat. Jan. 9, 2021 at the Sullivan Branch Pentacostal Church with Jeff Tiller officiating.
