Glenda Dale Combs age 67 passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016.  Mrs. Combs was a 1966 graduate of Jonesborough High School, a graduate of University of Virginia with a Masters Degree in Education and a retired teacher from Clintwood Elementary School.  She attended Ralph Potter Memorial Church in Wise, Virginia and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Combs was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Joy Stanley.

Survivors in include her husband, Roger Combs of Clintwood; sons Brian Combs of Clintwood, Jamie Combs of Wise, Virginia and Lonnie Combs of Pierceton, Indiana; brothers, Mike Stanley and wife Patti of Jonesborough, Tennessee, David Wayne Hensley of Johnson City, Tennessee; sisters, Kathy Kinley and husband Don of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Janie Britt and husband Mark, Becky Mitchell and husband David all of Greenville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Christopher Combs, Brittney Hall, Kayla Combs, Landon Combs, Samuel Combs; great grandchildren, Karmen Combs and Adalynn Presley.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 20th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with services to begin at 7:00 PM, Stacy Potter and Buddy Wilson will officiate.  Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home Thursday, January 21st at 12 Noon to proceed to Temple Hill Memorial Gardens for entombment at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Love.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
