Gladys Yates Mullins was born December 28 th , 1938 to Miles and Tennessee Yates. She entered into eternal life on April 4 th , 2019. Mrs. Mullins was retired from Dickenson County Social Services and was the owner operator of A.J.S. Construction and Mullins Construction. She was of the Old Regular Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Avrie Mullins; daughter, Melissa Ann Mullins; sister, Fern Yates; 2 brothers, Gilmer and Garland Yates.
Survivors include 2 sons, Avrie Mullins, Jr. and Jeffery Scott Mullins of Clintwood; daughter, Susan Rose of Clintwood; step-daughters, Linda Scocca of Florida and Brenda Richard of Texas; brother, Curtis (Barbara) Yates of Haysi; grandsons, Zachary (Terri) Mullins, Jordan (Farahha) Mullins, Cody (April) Mullins, Austin Mullins, Chris Mullins and Dakota Johnson; granddaughters, Tammy Keelan and Tonya Keelan Eelbode; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Angela Kingsley, Rachel Mullins and Kelly Stewart.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 6 th , 7 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Buster Mullins and Earl Dean Yates officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 6 PM. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Sunday, April 7 th , to proceed to Patton Mullins Cemetery, Hoot Owl Hollow Road for 11 AM graveside services. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
