Gertie Ball Miller, age 96, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Mrs. Miller was born in Dickenson County the daughter of the late L.D. and Polly Yates Ball. She was a member of Clintwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller had resided in Abingdon, Virginia since 1977.   Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed Miller and several brothers and sisters.   Survivors include several nieces and nephews.   Family will receive friends, Friday, November 20th in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be held at the Peuther Chapel Cemetery, Caney Ridge 12:30 pm with Roger Phelps, Jr. officiating.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hills Christian Church Building Fund, PO Box 288, Abingdon, Virginia, 24212-0288.
