Gay Annetta Martin went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 12, 2016 at Indian Path Medical Center Kingsport, TN. She was a Christian from age 16, a member of Martins Chapel Church for over forty years, worked with Ladies Auxillary of the church and Deaconess. She was a graduate of Southwest Community College Nursing Program, a member of Order of Eastern Star chapter 144, worked with her community serving as director of We Care Food Bank, Clothing Mission , McClure River Rescue Squad, The Hope House of Norton, U.M.W.A and tutoring programs for local children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Ruby Deel Anderson, Her husband Gilmer "Fody" Martin, one son Gary Wayne Martin and grandson Gary Wayne Martin, Jr., three brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include her daughter Brenda Martin, Fairfax, VA; one brother Charlie Anderson and wife Lois of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren William Bryan Hubbard, Lexington, KY, Alexandra Mikail, Milalani, HI and Victoria Mikail, Winchester, VA; three great-grandchildren Oliva Hubbard, Lauryl Hubbard and Kyra Mikail, surviving members of the Martin Family and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Gay Annetta Martin will be conducted at 1 PM Sunday May 15, 2016 in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with David Kilgore officiating. Entombment will follow at the Temple Hill Memorial Garden, Castlewood, VA. Pallbearers will be Mark Taylor, Bryan Hubbard, Ricky Anderson, and Ted Ketron. The family will receive friends with visitation 5-7 PM. With a song service at 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
