Delmon Fon Moore, age 71, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at his home. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a retired brick mason. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mattie Moore, four brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Alberta Moore of Clintwood; daughter, Linda Moore of Clintwood; one brother, Ralph Moore and wife Wilma of Tarpon; four sisters, Tona Mullins, Easter Mullins and husband David, Linda Hamilton all of Clintwood and Mae Jackson of Gold Beach, Oregon; special grandchild, Allen Edwards. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19th, at 2:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with David Mullins and Harold Rose officiating. Burial will follow at the Stone Cemetery located in the Skeetrock Community. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are John Hines, Jr., David Buchanan, Muncie Mullins, Randy Allen Mullins and Clyde Hill. Family will receive friends, Thursday, September 18th beginning after 6:00 pm at the funeral home. A song service will begin at 7:00 pm.
