Eulis Lee Sutherland age 88, passed away at the Mountain Home Veterans Community Living

Center, Johnson City, TN.  Born in Freemont section of Dickenson County, the son of the late Rosevelt and Hilda Sutherland. A veteran of the US Army and US Air Force serving his country proudly. He worked as a coal miner for many years later retiring as a machinist in the manufacturing industry. A faith servant to the Lord for over 60 years, His devotion to family and church family was a priority in life. He loved spending time with his family and was an honorary Pap Paw to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna Sutherland, a daughter Cheryl Hill, brothers, Roy Sutherland, Rosevelt Sutherland, Jr. and Harold Sutherland.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law Tonya Keever and Roger, Taylorsville, NC .and Misty Rose, Richmond, VA.   One son David Sutherland, St. Paul, VA. His brothers, Charles Sutherland, McClure,VA. And Harry Allen Sutherland and wife Vicky, Nealy Ridge, his sisters, Erma J. Rasnick, Clinchco, VA., Gayenell Stidham, Clintwood, VA. And Nancy Collius, Dante, VA. Along with several grandchildren, nieces, nephews along with host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.
