Ettie Perry Hamilton born August 9, 1922 passed away Thursday January 21, 2016 at Mount Vernon Hospital, Alexandria, Virginia after a brief illness.  Mrs. Hamilton was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lem and Liza Jane Perry; husband, Lockard Hamilton; children, Johnny Hamilton, William Hamilton, Bill Hamilton, Lillie French and Mary Hamilton; brothers, Homer Perry, Orvil Perry, Hurley Perry, Bert Perry, Elmer (Uncle Fat) Perry, Lee Perry; grandson, Harold Hamilton.

Survivors are daughters, Rita Mullins of Stevens City, Virginia, Patricia French and husband David of Coeburn, Virginia, Linda Carty and husband Vernon of Alexandria, Virginia; sons, Dane Hamilton of Wise, Virginia, Homer Hamilton and wife Andrea Hamilton of Pound, Virginia, Michael Hamilton and wife Beth of Pound, Virginia, Gerald Hamilton and wife Kim of Wise, Virginia; brother, Earl Perry of Clintwood; special nephew, Charlie Perry; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends, Saturday, January 30th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow at 7:00 PM, Steve McCoy and Lester Mullins will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, January 31st, at 12:00 Noon in the Powers Cemetery on Powers Branch.  Those wishing to follow in the processional to the cemetery should meet at Clintwood Funeral Home at 11:30 AM.  Greg French, Pernell Mullins, Ray Hamilton, Eddie Senters, Tyson Hamilton, Cody Hamilton, Brandon Mullins, David Carty and Aaron Mullins will serve as pallbearers.
