Ersel Clinton Rose ae 90, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018.  Mr. Rose was a lifelong resident of McClure.  He served in the United States Army and was retired from McClure Concrete.  Mr. Rose was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Oshie Stanley Rose; his son, Robert Rose; 3 brothers, Allen, Joe, and Jamax Rose; 3 sisters, Zelma Young, Pat Bridges and Nancy Deel.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Jewell Patton Rose; his son Randy Rose and wife Ann of Blountville, TN; daughter, Sandra Jones of Bristol, TN; granddaughter, Katherine Jones of Bristol, TN; 2 step-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Select Specialty Staff of Bristol.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 1 ^st from 5 PM until 7 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 2 ^nd , 11 AM at the funeral home with Harrison Bell and Chris Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood.  Ronnie Barnette, Tim Carty, Lee Bridges, Eddie Sensabaugh, Jim Eggers and Jeff Sams will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be emplopyees of McClure Lumber and Concrete.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Camp Jacob.
