Elva Gray Moore age 93 went to Heaven Sat. Jan. 4, 2014 to be with her husband Emory, parents, siblings and a grandson Steve. A resident of Clintwood for 66 years Mrs. Moore was active with many civic activities and clubs, she was a tour guide where she visited many countries, with a love for meeting people from all over the world. She was a member of the Valley View Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters Emma Gray Large and husband Roger of Pound, Virginia, Margaret Taylor, Sevierville, Tennessee and Jane Sexton and husband Dwight of Knoxville, Tennessee; six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Elva Gray Moore will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Sat. Jan. 11, 2014 at the Valley View Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Lynn Vanover. Entombment will follow at the Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church. The family would like to express appreciation and love to all employees at the Laurels, for their loving care.
