Elsie F. Rose Ellison, 73, of Clintwood, Virginia went home to be with the Lord at Ridgecrest Manor in Duffield, Virginia, following a period of declining health surrounded by loving family and friends.
Elsie was born in Haysi, VA daughter of Rufus Edward and Georgia Wampler. She worked for Big Caney Water and Dickenson PSA for many years where she later retired. Elsie was a member of Peuther Chapel Church. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted Wife, Mom, Mamaw and friend who loved family time with beach trips, parades, spending time at the beauty shop with ladies there and shopping. But she loved more than anything being a loving friend to all she knew.
She is proceeded in death by her parents and two brothers Roy Lee Wampler and Arthur Wampler.
She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years David Ellison. Son, Brady Rose and wife, Stephanie. Daughter, Amy Leigh Dulaney and husband Mike. Brothers, Adam Wampler and wife, Tammie. Verlin Wampler and wife, Glenda. Ervin Wampler and wife Janice. Sister, Julie Vance and husband Roger. Grandchildren, Alex Rose, Tara Rose, Madison Presley and Dustin Dulaney. Her very special nieces Kelly Jessee and Amy Mullins and Spencer, sister in laws Joan E. Fleming and Sherri Taylor, brother in laws Milton Ellison and Carolyn and Raymond Larry Ellison.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to; Ginger Rose, Sondra Brown and Jeraldine Kilgore for their assistance, support, and love during her lifetime. We would also like to extend a thank you to special Friend Tina Church.
Funeral Services for Elsie F. Rose Ellison will be conducted at 1:30 PM Tue. Nov. 28, 2023 at Peuther Chapel with Pastor Joe Glenn Sluss. Burial will follow at the Peuther Chapel Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon till service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Peuther Chapel Church.
