Ella Faye Latham, age 61, passed away Monday, August 9th, at Norton Community Hospital, Norton, Virginia. Mrs. Latham was the daughter of the late Lee and Jane Belcher Vanover. She was a 1969 graduate of Pound High School and a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia. Mrs. Latham loved taking care of people and animals. Mrs. Latham was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Vanover, two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Latham is survived by her husband, Robert Latham of Pound, Virginia; one son, Robert Luther Latham of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; one daughter, Joelle Latham of Clintwood, Virginia; one brother Jimmy Vanover and wife Rosie of Wise, Virginia; one sister, Mavis Steele and husband Jerry of Pound, Virginia; two granddaughters, Sarah Jo Beth Latham-Bell and Hannah Latham-Bell. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, August 11th, after 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment services will be conducted Thursday, August 12th, 1:00 PM at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens with Brother Roger Freeman officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
