Eddie Dean Lane age 64, passed away Sept.21, 2023 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN. He was born in Grundy, the son of the late John and Hazel Lane. He was a graduate of Grundy High School Class of 1977 and retired from the Buchanan County School System. He loved to travel and enjoyed time with church family, He was a member of the Little Hope Old Regular Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents and stepmother Katherine Lane, brothers Hubert and Marshall Lane, one sister Judy Belle Lane, a nephew John Cale Golden and a niece Anthena Michelle Lane.

Survivors include his brother Johnny Lane and wife Kimberly, Grundy, VA. and his aunt Mary Kirkpatrick, Grundy, VA. and a nephew, Kelley Golden and wife Laura of Kingsport, TN. His nieces Kimberley Lane, Greensboro, NC., Rebecca Lyes and husband John, Rockwall, TX. And Alexandria Lane and Brent Reid of Mt. Pocono, PA. a special cousin Jim Lane of Clintwood, VA. along with a Host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wed. Sept 27 at the Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders; Roger Coleman, Jimmy Dye, Terry Hall and Earl Dean Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the Stiltner Family Cemetery, Poplar Creek section of Grundy. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elbert Lester, Jim Lane, Larry Lambert and Shawn Owens. The family will receive friends after 6 PM. at the Bull Creek Church Tue. evening with a service at 7 PM.
