Easter Phipps Meade age 91, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Easter was a member of the Valley View Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Meade was preceded in death by her parents E.M. and Matilda Phipps, husband, Houston Meade, son, George Allen Meade and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter Marlene Keith and husband James of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Teresa Wiley and husband Tommy, Debra Oldham and husband Mark, Jay Keith and wife Mary Katherine all of Richmond; four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; her brother, George Phipps of Abingdon, Virginia; four half-sisters, Gaye McGinnis and Faye McAlexander of Port Orchard, Washington, Anna Lois Rose and husband Kilby of Mansfield, Ohio, Kaye Stanley of Georgia; half-brothers, Bobby Phipps and wife Marilyn, Kenneth Phipps and wife Lucy all of Port Orchard, Washington and Kerry Phipps and wife PunYon of Clintwood; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, September 24, 2016, 2:00 PM at Valley View Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Lynn Vanover officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood.
