arl Parridgen, age 77, passed away Saturday, January 5th, 2008 at the Dickenson Community Hospital. He was born in Dickenson County the son of the late Beldon and Francis Parridgen. Mr. Parridgen was preceded in death by this wife Barbara Caytor Parridgen, four brothers, Estel Perrigan, Cecil Perrigan, Beldon Junior Perrigan and D.C. Perrigan, and two children, Latheresa Ann Bolling and Donald Ray Parridgen. He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Parridgen of Texas, seven sons, Curtis Parridgen and Dennis Parridgen of Rockwell, NC, Richard Parridgen, William Parridgen, and Adam Parridgen of Clinchco, VA, Bobby Parridgen of Hickory, NC, and Kevin Parridgen of Salisbury, NC. Other survivors include one brother, Danny Perrigan of Morganton, NC and five sisters, Dolly Whitt of Roseville, MI, Eva Edwards of Sandlick, VA, Margie Edwards of MI, Beulah Land of Clinchco, VA, and Ruby Edwards of Morganton, NC. Survivors also include sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral serviced for Earl Parridgen will be conducted Wednesday, January 9th at 2:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Palmer Leftwich officiating. Burial will follow at the Edwards Family Cemetery at Birchleaf, VA with the Clintwood Honor Guard in charge of graveside services. Family will receive friends at the Clintwood Funeral Home Tuesday, January 8th from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a song service beginning at 7:00 PM.
