Douglas Scott Anderson age 59, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020, at his home.  Doug was the son of the late Sam and Dixie Anderson. He was a member of the 1978 Clintwood Greenwave State Championship Football team and a 1979 graduate of CHS. Doug lived in Church Hill Tennessee for over twenty years and worked as a surveyor. He retired and returned to Clintwood to take care of his family.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Anderson and Sammy Anderson; 2 nephews, Bobby D. Anderson and Christopher Anderson; 1 great nephew, Jeremy Rose.

Survivors include his brother, Richard (Dickie) Anderson and wife Jean of Hardy, Virginia; 4 sisters, Sue Goodpasture of Bristol, Virginia, Pat Crook and husband Ron of White Hall, Arkansas, Lynn Bainbridge and husband John of Daphne, Alabama and Diane Anderson of Clintwood; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 23 ^rd , 2 pm at  Valley View Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Lynn Vanover officiating.  Family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm.
